We are currently using the fork by Adam, with support for duktape as a
JS engine. But upstream has finally merged that just a day ago. Woohoo!
Between the fork we were using and upstream, there are very little
changes, mostly centered around:
- translations
- buildsystem
- duktape
- CVE-2021-4034
So, we just switch to using the HEAD of the repo: it has not much more
than the two important changes: duktape and the CVE fix.

Fix CVE-2021-20330: An attacker with basic CRUD permissions on a
replicated collection can run the applyOps command with specially
malformed oplog entries, resulting in a potential denial of service on
secondaries. This issue affects MongoDB Server v4.0 versions prior to
4.0.25; MongoDB Server v4.2 versions prior to 4.2.14; MongoDB Server
v4.4 versions prior to 4.4.6.

CVE-2021-43816: "Unprivileged pod using `hostPath` can side-step active LSM when
it is SELinux"
Containers launched through containerd’s CRI implementation on Linux systems
which use the SELinux security module and containerd versions since v1.5.0 can
cause arbitrary files and directories on the host to be relabeled to match the
container process label through the use of specially-configured bind mounts in a
hostPath volume. This relabeling elevates permissions for the container,
granting full read/write access over the affected files and directories.
Kubernetes and crictl can both be configured to use containerd’s CRI
implementation.

TinyXML through 2.6.2 has an infinite loop in TiXmlParsingData::Stamp in
tinyxmlparser.cpp via the TIXML_UTF_LEAD_0 case. It can be triggered by
a crafted XML message and leads to a denial of service.

5.15.2 is the last public release of 5.15 and does not contain this CVE
fix. However, >=6.1.2 and >5.12.12 all contain the necessary patches so
let's port them to 5.15.2.
Technically only the first two patches are required to patch the CVE.
However, the second patch introduces a regression that is fixed in the third
patch.
The patches are taken from KDE kde/5.15 git branch.

Fixes the following security issues:
Improper handling of URI Subject Alternative Names (Medium)(CVE-2021-44531)
Accepting arbitrary Subject Alternative Name (SAN) types, unless a PKI is
specifically defined to use a particular SAN type, can result in bypassing
name-constrained intermediates. Node.js was accepting URI SAN types, which
PKIs are often not defined to use. Additionally, when a protocol allows URI
SANs, Node.js did not match the URI correctly.
Certificate Verification Bypass via String Injection (Medium)(CVE-2021-44532)
Node.js converts SANs (Subject Alternative Names) to a string format. It
uses this string to check peer certificates against hostnames when
validating connections. The string format was subject to an injection
vulnerability when name constraints were used within a certificate chain,
allowing the bypass of these name constraints.
Incorrect handling of certificate subject and issuer fields (Medium)(CVE-2021-44533)
Node.js did not handle multi-value Relative Distinguished Names correctly.
Attackers could craft certificate subjects containing a single-value
Relative Distinguished Name that would be interpreted as a multi-value
Relative Distinguished Name, for example, in order to inject a Common Name
that would allow bypassing the certificate subject verification.
Prototype pollution via console.table properties (Low)(CVE-2022-21824)
Due to the formatting logic of the console.table() function it was not safe
to allow user controlled input to be passed to the properties parameter
while simultaneously passing a plain object with at least one property as
the first parameter, which could be __proto__. The prototype pollution has
very limited control, in that it only allows an empty string to be assigned
numerical keys of the object prototype.

The commit 2f50686401 added a patch for
util-linux, but forgot to create a symlink to util-linux-libs. This
results in inconsistent libblkid.so builds from util-linux and
util-linux-libs.
If you enable BR2_PER_PACKAGE_DIRECTORIES, you will find that different
libblkid.so is used in different
$(BASE_DIR)/per-package/$(PKG)_NAME/target.

When debugging pkg-stats, it's quite useful to be able to disable some
features that are quite long (checking upstream URL, checking latest
version, checking CVE). This commit adds a --disable option, which can
take a comma-separated list of features to disable, such as:

The .affects() method of the CVE class in support/scripts/cve.py can
return 3 values: CVE_AFFECTS, CVE_DOESNT_AFFECT and CVE_UNKNOWN.
We of course properly account for CVEs where .affects() return
CVE_AFFECTS, but the ones for which CVE_UNKNOWN is returned are
currently ignored, and therefore treated as if they did not affect the
package.
However CVE_UNKNOWN in fact indicates that the v_start/v_end fields of
the CPE entry could not be parsed by
distutils.version.LooseVersion(). Instead of ignoring such cases, this
commit adds support for the concept of "unsure CVEs", which will be
listed next to CVEs known to affect the package, so that we are aware
of them and can investigate the version issue.

riscv64gc was made available for BR2_riscv, but RISC-V can be 32-bit
or 64-bit, so we need to restrict it to BR2_RISCV_64. There's no need
to keep the BR2_riscv dependency, as BR2_RISCV_64 can only be true
when BR2_riscv is true.
Also, BR2_PACKAGE_HOST_RUSTC_ARCH needs to be set to riscv64gc to
allow rust-bin to download its pre-compiled standard library
correctly.

BR2_PACKAGE_HOST_RUSTC_ARCH only had a special value for
BR2_ARM_CPU_ARMV7A, but it also needs a special value for
BR2_ARM_CPU_ARMV5, as the pre-compiled Rust standard library for
ARMv5TE is identified with the "armv5te" architecture name, see
https://doc.rust-lang.org/nightly/rustc/platform-support.html.
We noticed this because Rust binaries wouldn't work on an ARMv5
platform (Illegal instruction). This was due to the usage of the
arm-unknown-linux-gnueabi variant of the Rust standard library, which
is for ARMv6. Thanks to this commit, we correctly use the
armv5te-unknown-linux-gnueabi variant, and Rust binaries work properly
on ARMv5TE.
A better approach would be to do the conversion from architecture
options to Rust tuples in a single string symbol that also defines the
supported architectures, similar to how it's done in e.g. openblas.
However, that's a much bigger change. So for now, just do the easy thing
and fix this one issue.

Fix a bug affecting both uriNormalizeSyntax* and uriMakeOwner*
functions where the text range in .hostText would not be duped using
malloc but remain unchanged (and hence "not owned") for URIs with
an IPv4 or IPv6 address hostname; depending on how an application
uses uriparser, this could lead the application into a use-after-free
situation.
As the second half, fix uriFreeUriMembers* functions that would not
free .hostText memory for URIs with an IPv4 or IPv6 address host;
also, calling uriFreeUriMembers* multiple times on a URI of this
very nature would result in trying to free pointers to stack
(rather than heap) memory.

Fix functions uriNormalizeSyntax* for out-of-memory situations
(i.e. malloc returning NULL) for URIs containing empty segments
(any of user info, host text, query, or fragment) where previously

pyqt5 uses qmake internally, but is python package rather than a qmake
package. Therefore, we need to manually apply the same fixup as for
qmake packages.
Without this, top-level parallel build may fail because dependencies are
looked for in the qt5 per-package staging directory instead of the
python-pyqt5 one.

Make 4.3 is buggy and when parallel building host-libnss/libnss we end up
with a failure thrown by make itself. So let's work-around this by don't
parallel build the package if Make version is 4.3.

Flare games use OGG audio file format througt SDL2-mixer.
Without OGG support, flare-engine trigger a lot of errors in its

Set HOSTCC_NOCCACHE and HOSTCXX_NOCCACHE only if they are not
set. This allows recursive calls to "make" to work as intended in the
presence of ccache. Such recursive calls to "make" can for example
happen if one calls "make legal-info" from within a post-build script,
to integrate some results of the legal-info output into the root
filesystem.
Without guarding these variables, a recursive invocation of make would
re-define
HOSTCC_NOCCACHE := $(HOSTCC)
and
HOSTCXX_NOCCACHE := $(HOSTCXX)
at a point in time when HOSTCC and HOSTCXX already point to ccache.
It used to work by "accident" until
ca6a2907c2 ("make: support: use `command
-v' instead of `which'"), due to how "which" was behaving when invoked
with multiple arguments. After switching to "command -v", which
behaves different with multiple arguments, this HOSTCC_NOCCACHE
redefinition problem surfaced. Even though
ca6a2907c2 has since then been reverted
for other reasons, it does make sense to guard the definition of
HOSTCC_NOCCACHE and HOSTCXX_NOCCACHE to not rely on a side-effect of
using "which".

Add patch to fix linking failure while creating shared library. As
explained in the patch itself, there is no specific variable for when we
link a shared library and rebar itself rely on the default LDFLAGS. Since
by default every CFLAGS is filled with -fPIC we need to make sure that
every LDFLAGS is the same, so not having any other *_LDFLAGS variable to
fille with -fPIC let's add it to the main LDFLAGS.

When the gcc arc version was bumped to a version using gcc
10.x (arc-2020.09-release) in commit 0791abfba0 (toolchain: update ARC
tools to arc-2020.09-release), the select of BR2_GCC_VERSION_ARC on the
appropriate BR2_TOOLCHAIN_GCC_AT_LEAST_xyz was not updated.
Commit 0b4c7ba01c (toolchain: update option descriptions for ARC tools
arc-2020.09-release) fixed the prompt, but still forgot to update the
appropriate BR2_TOOLCHAIN_GCC_AT_LEAST_xyz.
This commit eventually fixes this issue.

As explained in the patch itself, there is a bug in the handling of
__pselect32() in glibc for the Microblaze architecture. There a
special Microblaze variant that was added to support kernels older
than < 3.15, but it "hides" a generic implementation that is needed to
support kernels newer than 3.15 but older than 5.1 (which is when the
time64 support for 32-bit architectures was added, making __pselect32
no longer needed).
This bug causes a glibc build failure for kernels >= 3.15 but < 5.1,
on Microblaze.

When binutils 2.37 was introduced in commit
62f0232980 ("package/binutils: add
version 2.37"), the patch
0008-or1k-fix-pc-relative-relocation-against-dynamic-on-P.patch was
not properly updated. Indeed, between binutils 2.36 and 2.37, binutils
has switched to using the standard "bool" type, so instead of using
TRUE/FALSE, true/false must be used.
With this change, the binutils patch matches the one that was merged
upstream.

Configuring coreutils with gl_cv_func_fstatat_zero_flag=no results in
non-functional lchmod library function which causes 'mkfifo -m' to
always complete with the message 'cannot set permissions of ...: Invalid
argument' and an error exit code. gl_cv_func_fstatat_zero_flag=no is not
needed when building coreutils-9.0 for linux and its setting should be
correctly determined by the configure script.
Drop gl_cv_func_fstatat_zero_flag=no from the coreutils configure
environment.

Fix CVE-2021-4048: An out-of-bounds read flaw was found in the CLARRV,
DLARRV, SLARRV, and ZLARRV functions in lapack through version 3.10.0,
as also used in OpenBLAS before version 0.3.18. Specially crafted inputs
passed to these functions could cause an application using lapack to
crash or possibly disclose portions of its memory.
It should be noted that commit 59a1fcc696
wrongly assumed that this CVE was fixed in version 3.10.0

The current configuration fails to boot on the stm32f469-disco board.
Make it bootable again by reverting the DRAM patches.
Also change the kernel load address from 0x8010000 to 0x800C000 to
allocate more space to the kernel, since 32kB for the device tree is
enough.
Also clean up the rootfs a bit with the common stm32-post-build.sh
script.

ICU build scripting adds some host libraries to LD_LIBRARY_PATH by
using constructs of the following form:
LD_LIBRARY_PATH="custom-path:${LD_LIBRARY_PATH}"
If the original LD_LIBRARY_PATH is empty, this causes the last search
directory be an empty string, i.e. the working directory.
ICU build runs some basic host commands (e.g. "rm") in $(TARGET_DIR)/lib
under such an LD_LIBRARY_PATH, causing target libraries (e.g. libc) to
possibly get loaded instead of host system libraries if they are
compatible enough (e.g. arch matches).
Since the target libraries may not actually be ABI compatible with host
system binaries (e.g. target has an old libc), this can cause crashes
or other errors.
Observed errors include:
(1) rm: libc.so.6: version `GLIBC_2.33' not found (required by rm)
(2) sh: line 1: 1362670 Segmentation fault (core dumped) rm -f libicudata.so.65
Workaround the issue by setting a dummy LD_LIBRARY_PATH when it would
otherwise be empty.

In Keepalived through 2.2.4, the D-Bus policy does not sufficiently
restrict the message destination, allowing any user to inspect and
manipulate any property. This leads to access-control bypass in some
situations in which an unrelated D-Bus system service has a settable
(writable) property

Some of the third party code is BSD-licensed. In addition, the roots.pem
certificate store is MPL-licensed.
This was probably already the case in earlier versions as well, but it
was only noticed while updating to 1.42.0 because the LICENSE file was
adapted for it.

It is possible that some users of buildroot have put it in a repository
and call into it from another Makefile such as:
.DEFAULT:
$(MAKE) O=$(abspath $(O)) -C buildroot $(@)
This technique works well except that Make tells us that it changes into
the buildroot directory:
make[1]: Entering directory 'buildroot'
Because this line doesn't have an equals within it, python raises a
ValueError exception within pkg-stats.

Currently, by following the instructions in the manual and querying for
developers for a patch that changes path
package/foobar
the script reports both developers that have these entries in the
DEVELOPERS file:
F: package/foo/
F: package/foobar/
Starting from commit "afc112b0e4 utils/getdeveloperlib.py: fix issue
with hasfile()" get-developers script uses os.path.abspath() and
os.path.relpath().
The catch is that those functions return the absolute path and the
relative path without the trailing slash.
When the paths associated to a developer are then compared to the paths
a patch touches, using the string.startswith(), any substring returns
True, leading to developers for package/foo/ being wrongly reported
for package/foobar/ .
Fix this by re-adding the trailing slash after using relpath().

Fix CVE-2021-43784: runc is a CLI tool for spawning and running
containers on Linux according to the OCI specification. In runc, netlink
is used internally as a serialization system for specifying the relevant
container configuration to the `C` portion of the code (responsible for
the based namespace setup of containers). In all versions of runc prior
to 1.0.3, the encoder did not handle the possibility of an integer
overflow in the 16-bit length field for the byte array attribute type,
meaning that a large enough malicious byte array attribute could result
in the length overflowing and the attribute contents being parsed as
netlink messages for container configuration. This vulnerability
requires the attacker to have some control over the configuration of the
container and would allow the attacker to bypass the namespace
restrictions of the container by simply adding their own netlink payload
which disables all namespaces. The main users impacted are those who
allow untrusted images with untrusted configurations to run on their
machines (such as with shared cloud infrastructure). runc version 1.0.3
contains a fix for this bug. As a workaround, one may try disallowing
untrusted namespace paths from your container. It should be noted that
untrusted namespace paths would allow the attacker to disable namespace
protections entirely even in the absence of this bug.

- Fix CVE-2021-4048: An out-of-bounds read flaw was found in the CLARRV,
DLARRV, SLARRV, and ZLARRV functions in lapack through version 3.10.0,
as also used in OpenBLAS before version 0.3.18. Specially crafted
inputs passed to these functions could cause an application using
lapack to crash or possibly disclose portions of its memory.

This addresses the autobuilder failure for master as per 2021-11-27.
The root cause was a name clash in a dependency, the libite library,
clashing with the DirectFB LiTE library header files. Hence, this
update alone does not fix [1], libite also needs to be updated. To
provide a smooth transition though, watchdogd should be updated first.

Commit 82d1e8c628 (boot/grub2: use none platform when building for
host) changed host-grub2 to only install the tools, not the actual
bootloader or its modules, as they are of no use on the host.
It so happened that, when not instructed to built for a specific
platform, the grub2 buildsystem would default to build the legacy bios
platform (at least when the build happens on an x86 or x86_64 host).
However, because the host is more often than not an x86 or x86_64, when
the target was also an x68 or x86_64, the modules built for the host
could be re-used for the target, and this is what was done for our
pc_x86_64_bios_defconfig.
But now that we explicitly tell the grub2 buildsystem to not build any
platform when we build host-grub2, we no longer have access to the grub2
modules from the host directory, and the build fails when assembling the
final image.
We fix that in two ways:
First, we ensure that individual modules from the target grub2 get installed
in target/; we can only do that if the target grub2 tools are also
installed, so we enable that in the configuration.
Second, we fix the post-build script to look in target/ rather than in
host/.
All that, just for the 512-byte boot.img bootstrap, which pulls in all
the other modules (4.3MiB), the tools (8.8MiB)... But we are not going
to cherry-pick individual modules; this is error prone and
unmaintainable...

Some last-minute changes were made when applying commits 7a68960b68
(boot/grub2/Config.in: add symbols to represent legacy and EFI boot) and
4d5b209384 (package/mender-grubenv: fix grub module checks), and the
renaming of the BR2_TARGET_GRUB_LEGACY was not fully propagated.
This caused the path to the boot files to always be interpreted as being
the EFI one, and never the legacy one. In practice, that was not causing
any build failure, because the path was passed at build-time to
mender-grubenv, that would use it as the location where to install its
files, and finally as the location where our image-isntall commands
would look for them.
Still this is incorrect because it would not match where grub2 would
eventually end up lookig for its files at runtime...
To avoid further issue, drop the conditional block dedicated to setting
the path to the boot files, drop the intermediate variable, and move
setting the environment variable down into the existing conditional
block.
We do drop the intermediate variable, because there is no longer any
genericity needed: the installation commands are already duplicated for
the two cases anyway.

Commit 0cfa165948 (package/pkg-utils.mk: introduce "name" field in
show-info output) did what it said, but did so in the generic show-info
part, thus it was also added to filesystems (rootfs), the other kind of
entity that show-info reports on.
Only packages have a "name"; filesystems do not. Instead, they already
have an 'image_name'.
Move the 'name' field to the package-related part of show-info.

When calling 'printvars', the 'suitable-host-package' macro is printed
(a macro is just a variable like the others, after all, just with some
parameters). Because it is printed as a variable, it is missing its
parameters, but it still tries to evaluate the $(shell) construct.
This causes spurious warning:
make[1]: support/dependencies/check-host-.sh: Command not found
Only try and call the script if there is actually a tool to check for.

When calling 'printvars' on a just-configured tree, the output contains
many spurious warnings about pkg-config being not found:
make[1]: [...]/host/bin/pkg-config: Command not found
This is partly because a few packages call pkg-config at the time the
Makefile is parsed (really, right when make evaluates the recipe before
executing it).
It is customary, instead, to defer the call to pkg-config to the actual
shell running the recipe's commands, like all our other packages do.

Currently, the build_dir field is reported relative to $(BASE_DIR), to
avoid leaking local paths.
However, BASE_DIR is not a directory that is very convenient: for
in-tree builds, it is $(CONFIG_DIR)/output/, while for out-of-tree
builds, it is $(CONFIG_DIR). This difference is purely an idiosyncracy
of how out-of-tree builds have been implemented in Buildroot, and is
not under the control of the user.
What the user is in control of, however, is where the .config file is
located. This, really, is the directory we should base relative paths
on.

Commit b68810e70c (boot/grub2: add support to build multiple Grub2
configurations in the same build) broke mender-grubenv by splititng up
BR2_TARGET_GRUB2_BUILTIN_MODULES into two separate symbols, one for
legacy boot and one for EFI boot.
This change causes a systematic build failure now, as the legacy variable
BR2_TARGET_GRUB2_BUILTIN_MODULES is now always empty (during build).
We fix that by supplicating the missing modules to check: one for EFI and
one for legacy boot.
The EFI check is tricky: Indeed, there can be more than one EFI platform
enabled simultaneously; indeed, on x86_64, we can have both the 32-bit
and 64-bit EFI platforms enabled. So the check is inverted, and we check
that no platform is not enabled (yeah, double negation). For consistency,
we do the same for the legacy boot, even though in that case, there can
only ever be only one enabled at once at most.
Furthermore, mender-grubenv does not support multiple installations of
grub concurrently; it can only be installed for either legacy or EFI,
not both at the same time: /etc/mender-grubenv.cfg, its configuration
file, can only contain settings for one or the other, not both.
So we add a new check to Config.in to support only one grub installation
type at a time.

There are cases to want a synthetic information whether the legacy BIOS
or U-Boot boot scheme, or the EFI boot scheme, are enabled, without
resorting to testing all and each platforms.
This is already the cae in grub2 itself, for the configuration of the
BIOS/U-Boot boot partition, and builtin modules and configuration on one
hand, and the EFI builtin modules and configuraiton on the other hand.
It is also the case for mender-grubenv, which will want to know if
either or both are enabled, but without having to resort to testing all
the cases.
Add two new symbols, that each represent those conditions:
* BR2_TARGET_GRUB2_HAS_LEGACY_BOOT
* BR2_TARGET_GRUB2_HAS_EFI_BOOT
Each target selects the appropriate bool, which makes it much more
simple for other packages such as mender-grubenv to check if grub legacy
or EFI is selected.
And of course, we also make use of those symbols in grub2 itself, to
simplify the conditions for showing.hiding legacy and EFI options.
Additionally (but that does not merit being in its own patch), add a
comment on the closing 'endif' for the EFI part.

xz compresses better than bzip2, and is (getting) more popular, so build
release tarballs as .tar.xz (in addition to .tar.gz) instead of .tar.bz2,

In Pure-FTPd 1.0.49, an incorrect max_filesize quota mechanism in the
server allows attackers to upload files of unbounded size, which may

Since upstream commit bb1d35dc1767 [1] (which is part of the bump to
version 1.4.60), configure.ac no longer checks for a specific C
standard. It will therefore use the "default" standard. With autoconf
2.69 (which is what is used to generate the configure script in the
tarball), the default standard is C89, which requires no option to be
passed to the compiler. However, that means that older compilers, e.g.
GCC 4.8, will indeed use C89 and not C99. This leads to the following
error.

In autoconf 2.71 (which is used by Buildroot), the default standard has
changed: it is now C11 if available, C99 failing that, and finally fall
back to C89. Since GCC 4.8 (and later) support C11, that's what will be
selected, so C99 is allowed as well. Thus, running autoreconf fixes the
build.
The issue was reported upstream [2].

Starting with uboot 2021.10, with upstream commit 473fc279c89 (kconfig /
kbuild: Re-sync with Linux 4.20), the kconfig in uboot now needs the
compiler to detect its features.
Like was done for linux in 3fc990a798 (linux: kconfig needs the
toolchain) and barebox in 1c1a629d81 (boot/barebox: kconfig needs the
toolchain), add the toolchain to the kconfig dependencies of uboot.

The server does not support TLS v1.2, causing dowloads to fall back to
sources.buildroot.net. Mail sent to the project owner bounces, so it
looks like this issue will not be solved anytime soon.
Switch to HTTP, like was done in commit 399ad854cc (package/mksh:
fix project URL in Config.in) for the homepage, and rely on our hashes
to verify the integrity and authenticity of the download.

Currently, when BR2_LINUX_KERNEL_INSTALL_TARGET=y is selected, issuing
a "saveenv" command in the U-Boot prompt may lead to rootfs corruption.
When BR2_LINUX_KERNEL_INSTALL_TARGET is not selected, then
board/freescale/common/imx/genimage.cfg.template is used as per the logic
inside board/freescale/common/imx/post-image.sh.
board/freescale/common/imx/genimage.cfg.template correctly puts the
rootfs at a safe offset.
With BR2_LINUX_KERNEL_INSTALL_TARGET=y, then
board/freescale/common/imx/genimage.cfg.template_no_boot_part or
board/freescale/common/imx/genimage.cfg.template_no_boot_part_spl
are used and no offset to the rootfs is given, which may cause U-Boot
environment area to write into the rootfs area, causing the rootfs
corruption.
Avoid this problem by placing the rootfs at an 8MB offset, just like
it is done in board/freescale/common/imx/genimage.cfg.
Tested on a imx6qp-wandboard and also on a custom imx6ull based board.
"saveenv" does not corrupt the rootfs anymore after this change.

genrandconfig is used by the Buildroot autobuilders to generate
semi-random configurations that we build test. As part of this, we use
"make randpackageconfig" to randomize the selection of packages,
together with a KCONFIG_PROBABILITY value, which indicates the
probabibility for each option to be enabled. This probability is
itself randomized, between 1% and 30% for every build.
However, with our increasing number of packages (over 2900), when we
use a 30% probability for options to be enabled, it means a *lot* of
options are enabled, causing very large configurations to be
tested. These configurations are not very realistic, and they take
ages to build on our autobuilders: we have builds that take 4, 5 or
even 7 hours to build.
In order to test a larger number of configurations and therefore a
larger variety of configurations, this commit reduces the maximum
probability to 20%.

The heuristic to extract the various variables of interest is pretty
crude: we filter on variables ending with certain suffixes (like
'%_VERSION' to get the version strings).
However, in doing so, we may dump variables that are not actual package
versions (especially with br2-external trees), and those may contain one
or more equal sign. And anyway, an actual package version string may
very well contain an equal sign too.
But the current situation is that the output of 'printvars' is split on
all equal signs, which will not fit in the 2-tuple we assign the result,
thus causing an exception.
Fix that by limiting to a single split.

Commit 9c068b4be8 (package/glmark2: fix wayland build) extended the set
of required libraries for various "flavor" options by selecting those
libraries from the blind options.
However, those blind options are true as soon as their requirements are
met (the depends on), even when glmark2 itself is not enabled.
This means that extra libraries are pulled in to the build, even when
not required.
We fix that by moving the actual selects to the main symbol, along with
the proper conditions. This means that we have two lines that select
wayland-protocols, under two different conditions; we could make that a
single select, but the condition would need to be on two lines anyway,
so meh...

As explained by Jörg [1], iteration with pairs() does not result in the
same order since luajit 2.1.

The order of table iteration is explicitly undefined by the Lua
language standard. Different Lua implementations or versions may use
different orders for otherwise identical tables. Different ways of
constructing a table may result in different orders, too. Due to
improved VM security, LuaJIT 2.1 may even use a different order on
separate VM invocations or when string keys are newly interned.
If your program relies on a deterministic order, it has a bug.
Rewrite it, so it doesn't rely on the key order.
Or sort the table keys, if you must."

Luvi uses the cross bytecode generation of host-luajit
the bytecode format has 2 flavors, depending of GC64 option.
Since the commit https://github.com/LuaJIT/LuaJIT/commit/bd00094c3b50e193fb32aad79b7ea8ea6b78ed25
GC64 mode is enable by default on all 64bits platform.
With this patch, luajit and host-luajit are built with the same option,
so the bytecode generated by host-luajit is valid on luajit.

Luajit package has been recently updated to the latest commit in the
master branch [1]. Since then LUAJIT_VERSION doesn't contain the luajit
version anymore but a commit hash:
LUAJIT_VERSION = 05f1984e1a862e4b3d3c3b370c773492e2edf84a
Use pkg-config --variable=version luajit in luvi package to set
LUA_PATH correctly.

Upstream suggested to revert a commit while they work on a better fix.
The commit to revert was a fix for XCode on Clang 12, neither of which
apply to us in Buildroot, so we can indeed just carry that revert.

Currently when a tag is added to the Buildroot git tree, the gitlab-ci
create a pipeline with several hundred of jobs (~750) to build all
defconfigs and execute the Buildroot testsuite.
However, there is only a limited number of gitlab-ci runner (9 runners)
and some jobs reach the timeout limit (24h) while waiting for a runner
[1]. Indeed, the Buildroot project doesn't use the Gitlab's shared
runners.
In addition to the pipeline created when a new tag is added to the
git repository, two pipelines are created each weeks to execute the
Buildroot testsuite (on monday [2]) and build all defconfigs (on
Thursday [3]).
At some point there are too many jobs waiting in gitlab due board
defconfigs builds. Indded a board defconfig requires a lot of time
(~30min) compared to other jobs in order to build a toolchain and a
kernel linux along with a basic rootfs. There is currently 262
defconfigs.
This is even worse when several pipelines are trigged at the same
time (new git tag and scheduled pipeline trigger).
In order to reduce the number of long jobs, don't build board
defconfigs with pipelines trigged on tag, keeping only the runtime
tests and the Qemu's defconfigs.

The pipewire-media-session has been moved into a separate package
which pipewire attempts to download via meson wraps if
session-managers are enabled, since we don't support meson wraps
we need to disable session-managers in the pipewire package and
create a new pipewire-media-session package.
We also need to add a patch removing an invalid session-managers
option check from pipewire-media-session.
There is an alsa with-module-sets option in pipewire-media-session,
however at the moment alsa is an unconditional dependency so
we need to always enable it and select alsa-lib.
Note: it was previously an option of the pipewire package, named
media-session, so the symbol was BR2_PACKAGE_PIPEWIRE_MEDIA_SESSION.
Now it is a package name pipewire-media-session, so the symbol is still
BR2_PACKAGE_PIPEWIRE_MEDIA_SESSION. So there is no legacy entry needed,
and users previously using that option will now get the package. Sneaky.

As found out by Yann [1], binutils will use its bundled copy of zlib,
whether it is already provided by the system or not, and unless
explicitly told to use the system zlib with --with-system-zlib, which
is available since version 2.21 and

This will fix the following build failure with oprofile when compiling
in a static configuration where zlib is not enabled:
checking for bfd_openr in -lbfd... no
checking for compress in -lz... no
configure: error: libz library not found; required by libbfd
As found out by Arnout [1], this fails infrequently because static is
already pretty rare, but in addition zlib is almost always selected by
some other package.

We don't want to allow meson to download wrap dependencies as this
bypasses buildroot's dependency resolution.
This is badly documented in the meson manual, but there is at least
an FAQ that refers to it:

Meson has a option called wrap-mode which can be used to disable
wrap downloads altogether with --wrap-mode=nodownload.

tpm2-tss is looking for systemd_sysusers and systemd_tmpfiles, but those
two are not mandatory. However, it might find those from the host.
But that is not an issue in the end, because they are only used to
instanciate the users and create the tmpfiles. At build time on the
host, we do not need them, and on the target, if systemd is being used,
then they will be instanciated/created at boot.
If they are not found, then the fallback paths are taken, and those
fallback paths are those using the setfacl and groupadd and useradd
tools, which we already know are going to fail but that we do not care.
So, we can safely force those two to =no to avoid the install trying to
use the system-wide tools, or even the ones we build as part of
host-systemd ourselves.
Eventually, when systemd-tmpfiles of systemd-sysusers are missing, the
fallback paths use useradd, and configure unconditionally checks for
it, so as for groupadd and setfacl in commits d9123dd799
(package/tpm2-tss: fix build on host without setfacl) and c8f847c4f4
(package/tpm2-tss: fix build on host without groupadd), we just fake the
detection of groupadd.

This patch adds the explanation for the genimage.cfg files coding standard.
A real standard is not defined upstream by the genimage utility
developers[1], but I try to give one here in Buildroot for consistency.
