- The clock-lanes property is not needed for the sensors do not support
lane reordering. (The information possibly present in existing clock-lane
properties is simply not used.)
- There's no need to refer to the sensor device in the DT example, thus
remove the label.
- Rename the "camera" device node as "camera-sensor".
- Rename the endpoint label as "smiapp_ep" (was: "smiapp_1_1"). There is
in practice only one anyway.
- Remove the remote-endpoint documentation (it is covered by
graph.txt to which video-interfaces.txt refers to).
- Add a note on the port and endpoint nodes.
These changes make the smiapp bindings a better example.

When the support for serial busses was introduced in V4L2, it was decided
to use the existing parallel bus media bus pixel codes to describe them.
While this was a practical choice at the time, it necessitates choosing
which one of the many parallel mbus pixel codes to use, for on the serial
busses these formats are effectively all equivalent.
The practice has always been to use the pixel code that describes a bus
that transfers a single sample per clock. Document this.

Instead of using the convenience function
v4l2_async_notifier_parse_fwnode_endpoints(), parse the endpoints and set

Rework OF endpoint parsing for the omap3isp driver. This does add some
lines of code. The benefits are still clear:
- the great complication related to callbacks in endpoint parsing is gone;
instead endpoints are obtained port by port and
- endpoints may now have a default bus configuration which was not
possible while using callbacks. This driver does not benefit from that
feature, but as the omap3isp is one of the exemplary drivers, this works
as an example for driver developers.

The v4l2_async_notifier_add_fwnode_subdev() did not take a reference of
the added fwnode, relying on the caller to handle that instead, in essence
putting the fwnode to be added if there was an error.
As the reference is eventually released during the notifier cleanup, this
is not intuitive nor logical. Improve this by always getting a reference
when the function succeeds, and the caller releasing the reference when it
does not *itself* need it anymore.
Luckily, perhaps, there were just a handful of callers using the function.

devm functions are fine for managing resources that are directly related

The UVC video driver converts the timestamp from hardware specific unit
to one known by the kernel at the time when the buffer is dequeued. This
is fine in general, but the streamoff operation consists of the
following steps (among other things):
1. uvc_video_clock_cleanup --- the hardware clock sample array is
released and the pointer to the array is set to NULL,
2. buffers in active state are returned to the user and
3. buf_finish callback is called on buffers that are prepared.
buf_finish includes calling uvc_video_clock_update that accesses the
hardware clock sample array.
The above is serialised by a queue specific mutex. Address the problem
by skipping the clock conversion if the hardware clock sample array is
already released.

Use the media bus types instead of the fwnode bus types internally. This
is the interface to the drivers as well, making the use of the fwnode bus
types more localised to the V4L2 fwnode framework.

In order to prepare for allowing drivers to set the defaults for a given
bus, make zeroing the struct conditional based on detecting the bus.
All callers now set the bus type to zero which allows only zeroing the
remaining bus union.

Initialise the V4L2 fwnode endpoints to zero in all drivers using
v4l2_fwnode_endpoint_parse(). This prepares for setting default endpoint
flags as well as the bus type. Setting bus type to zero will continue to
guess the bus among the guessable set (parallel, Bt.656 and CSI-2 D-PHY).

Most hardware doesn't support re-mapping of the CSI-2 lanes. Especially
sensor drivers have a default number of lanes. Instead of requiring the
caller (the driver) to provide such a unit mapping, provide one if no
mapping is configured.
