This file is implicitly relying on an instance of including
module.h from <linux/acpi.h>.
Ideally, header files under include/linux shouldn't be adding
includes of other headers, in anticipation of their consumers,
but just the headers needed for the header itself to pass
parsing with CPP.
The module.h is particularly bad in this sense, as it itself does
include a whole bunch of other headers, due to the complexity of
module support.
Here, we make the include explicit, in order to allow the future
removal of module.h from linux/acpi.h without causing build breakage.

Lets remove the modular code that is essentially orphaned, so that

We leave the moduleparam.h include since the file does declare some

way to remain compatible with existing boot arg use cases.

The nf_tables.h header is used in a lot of files, but it turns out
that there is only one actual user of nft_expr_clone().
Hence we relocate that function to be with the one consumer of it
and avoid having to process it with CPP for all the other files.
This will also enable a reduction in the other headers that the
nf_tables.h itself has to include just to be stand-alone, hence
a pending further significant reduction in the CPP content that
needs to get processed for each netfilter file.
Note that the explicit "inline" has been dropped as part of this
relocation. In similar changes to this, I believe Dave has asked
this be done, so we free up gcc to make the choice of whether to
inline or not.

In commit b1fca27d38 ("kernel debug: support resetting WARN*_ONCE")
we got the opportunity to reset state on the one shot messages,
without having to reboot.
However printk_once (printk_deferred_once) live in a different file
and didn't get the same kind of update/conversion, so they remain
unconditionally one shot, until the system is rebooted.
For example, we currently have:
sched/rt.c: printk_deferred_once("sched: RT throttling activated\n");
..which could reasonably be tripped as someone is testing and tuning
a new system/workload and their task placements. For consistency, and
to avoid reboots in the same vein as the original commit, we make these
two instances of _once the same as the WARN*_ONCE instances are.

There is no removal of <linux/module.h> here because there isn't one.
Instead, it is relying on including that implicitly from an ACPI header.
In cleaning up the ACPI instance of module.h (which also isn't strictly
needed), then this mfd driver breaks when MODULE_DEVICE_TABLE becomes
undefined here.
The easiest dependency solution is to simply defer the ACPI cleanup

Even though the support can be modular, only one file needs to use
all the macros like MODULE_AUTHOR, MODULE_LICENSE etc. Only the one
responsible for registering/removal with module_init/module_exit
needs to declare these. In this case, that file is "encrypted.c"
and it already has the MODULE_LICENSE that we are removing here.
Since the file does EXPORT_SYMBOL, we add export.h - and build tests
show that module.h (which includes everything) was hiding an implicit

There is a table of Vendor/Model/Version {control data} in this driver,
but outside of the initial probe, the V/M/V is never used again, and
neither are any of the entries for platforms other than the one which
matches the running target.
By simply storing the {control data} for the matched platform, we can
mark the large table __initconst, which reduces the loaded driver size
by 20 percent.

This driver has two module parameters that allow an override of the
checks for matching model and BIOS version. However, both parameters
expect you to choose an entry from the existing list of supported
systems, encoded within the driver itself.
Without the source, such as in a binary distribution, the end user
does not have access to this information, thus rendering the two
module parameters essentially useless.
Add a module parameter that allows the end user to dump the list
of make/model/versions so that they can then pick one that most
closely matches their own system.

I no longer have a functional version of this board for even the most
basic sanity boot testing, and they have not been available for purchase
for quite some years now.
There is no point in adding a burden to testing coverage that does
walk all the possible defconfigs, so with all the above in mind, it
makes sense to remove it. Of course it will remain in the git history
for anyone who happens to stumble on one and wants to tinker with it.

The Kconfig currently controlling compilation of this code is:
config SIMPLE_PM_BUS
bool "Simple Power-Managed Bus Driver"
...meaning that it currently is not being built as a module by anyone.
In removing the orphaned modular support in a previous patch set,
Geert indicated he'd rather see this code converted to tristate.
I normally don't do that because it extends functionality that I
can't easily run time test or even know if the use case makes sense,
but since in this case the author has nominated it as such, we do
the conversion here.
Note that doesn't change the lack of run time testing ; this change
is only tested for sucessful compile and modpost.

Fixups here tend to be more of a conglomerate of some of the other
repeated/systematic ones we've seen in the earlier pinctrl cleanups.
We remove module.h from code that isn't doing anything modular at
all; if they have __init sections, then replace it with init.h
One driver has a .remove that would be dispatched on module_exit,
and as that code is essentially orphaned, so we remove it. In case
anyone was previously doing the (pointless) unbind to get to that
function, we disable unbind for this one driver as well.
A couple bool drivers (hence non-modular) are converted over to
to builtin_platform_driver().
Since module_platform_driver() uses the same init level priority as
builtin_platform_driver() the init ordering remains unchanged with
this commit.
Also note that MODULE_DEVICE_TABLE is a no-op for non-modular code.

In commit d0aeaa83f0 ("serial: exar:
split out the exar code from 8250_pci") the exar driver got its own
Kconfig. However the text for the new option was never changed from
the original 8250_PCI text, and hence it appears confusing when you
get asked the same question twice:
8250/16550 PCI device support (SERIAL_8250_PCI) [Y/n/m/?] (NEW)
8250/16550 PCI device support (SERIAL_8250_EXAR) [Y/n/m] (NEW)
Adding to the confusion, is that there is no help text for this new
option to indicate it is specific to a certain family of cards.
Fix both issues at the same time, as well as the space vs. tab issues
introduced in the same commit.

Historically a lot of these existed because we did not have
a distinction between what was modular code and what was providing
support to modules via EXPORT_SYMBOL and friends. That changed
when we forked out support for the latter into the export.h file.
This means we should be able to reduce the usage of module.h
in code that is obj-y Makefile or bool Kconfig. The advantage
in doing so is that module.h itself sources about 15 other headers;
adding significantly to what we feed cpp, and it can obscure what
headers we are effectively using.
Since module.h was the source for init.h (for __init) and for
export.h (for EXPORT_SYMBOL) we consider each change instance
for the presence of either and replace as needed. An instance

when we forked out support for the latter into the export.h file.
This means we should be able to reduce the usage of module.h

None of the Kconfigs for any of these drivers are tristate,
meaning that they currently are not being built as a module by anyone.
Lets remove the modular code that is essentially orphaned, so that
when reading the drivers there is no doubt they are builtin-only. All
drivers get the exact same change, so they are handled in batch.
Changes are (1) use init.h header in place of module.h header,
(2) delete module_exit related code, (3) delete MODULE_DEVICE_TABLE,
and (4) delete MODULE_LICENCE/MODULE_AUTHOR and associated tags.
None of these drivers were using module_init() so we don't have to
worry about the init ordering getting changed with this commit.
Also note that MODULE_DEVICE_TABLE is a no-op for non-modular code.
We also delete the MODULE_LICENSE etc. tags since all that information
is already contained at the top of each file in the comments.

For the dove driver we explicitly disallow a driver unbind, since
that doesn't have a sensible use case anyway, and it allows us to
drop the ".remove" code for non-modular drivers.
Since module_platform_driver() uses the same init level priority as
builtin_platform_driver() the init ordering remains unchanged with
this commit.
We deleted the MODULE_LICENSE etc. tags since all that information

These files were including module.h for exception table related
functions. We've now separated that content out into its own file
"extable.h" so now move over to that and where possible, avoid all
the extra header content in module.h that we don't really need to
compile these non-modular files.
Note:
init/main.c still needs module.h for __init_or_module
kernel/extable.c still needs module.h for is_module_text_address
...and so we don't get the benefit of removing module.h from the cpp
feed for these two files, unlike the almost universal 1:1 exchange
of module.h for extable.h we were able to do in the arch dirs.

We had all these corrected in commit 0c8c6ba00c ("pinctrl: sunxi:
make bool drivers explicitly non-modular") but this new one recently
crept in.
The Kconfig currently controlling compilation of this code is:
drivers/pinctrl/sunxi/Kconfig:config PINCTRL_SUN5I
drivers/pinctrl/sunxi/Kconfig: def_bool MACH_SUN5I
...meaning that it currently is not being built as a module by anyone.
Lets remove the couple traces of modular infrastructure use, so that
when reading the driver there is no doubt it is builtin-only.

In commit:
acb04058de ("sched/clock: Fix hotplug crash")
the PARISC code gained a call to this function.
However the prototype for it is within a CONFIG_HAVE_UNSTABLE_SCHED_CLOCK=y
#ifdef/#endif. That, combined with this:
arch/parisc/Kconfig: select HAVE_UNSTABLE_SCHED_CLOCK if SMP
means that PARISC can have it either enabled or disabled, resulting
in the following build fail:
arch/parisc/kernel/setup.c:180:2: error: implicit declaration of
function 'clear_sched_clock_stable' [-Werror=implicit-function-declaration]
Add a no-op stub for the non-SMP case to prevent this.
