Older ATF does not provide SMC call for USB 3.0 phy power on functionality
and therefore initialization of xhci-hcd is failing when older version of

[ 3.123465] xhci-hcd: probe of d0058000.usb failed with error -95
This patch introduces a new plat_setup callback for xhci platform drivers
which is called prior calling usb_add_hcd() function. This function at its
beginning skips PHY init if hcd->skip_phy_initialization is set.
Current init_quirk callback for xhci platform drivers is called from
xhci_plat_setup() function which is called after chip reset completes.
It happens in the middle of the usb_add_hcd() function and therefore this
callback cannot be used for setting if PHY init should be skipped or not.
For Armada 3720 this patch introduce a new xhci_mvebu_a3700_plat_setup()
function configured as a xhci platform plat_setup callback. This new
function calls phy_power_on() and in case it returns -EOPNOTSUPP then
XHCI_SKIP_PHY_INIT quirk is set to instruct xhci-plat to skip PHY
initialization.
This patch fixes above failure by ignoring 'not supported' error in
xhci-hcd driver. In this case it is expected that phy is already power on.
It fixes initialization of xhci-hcd on Espressobin boards where is older

Commit c685af1108 ("serial: mvebu-uart: fix tx lost characters") fixed tx
lost characters at low baud rates but started causing tx lost characters
when kernel is going to power off or reboot.
TX_EMP tells us when transmit queue is empty therefore all characters were
transmitted. TX_RDY tells us when CPU can send a new character.
Therefore we need to use different check prior transmitting new character
and different check after all characters were sent.
This patch splits polling code into two functions: wait_for_xmitr() which
waits for TX_RDY and wait_for_xmite() which waits for TX_EMP.
When rebooting A3720 platform without this patch on UART is print only:

Extend check in advk_pcie_valid_device() function for validating

This is just an optimization to prevent accessing PCIe registers when card

Device/vendor ids from Common CIS (Card Information Structure) may be
different as device/vendor ids from CIS on particular SDIO function.
Kernel currently exports only device/vendor ids from SDIO functions and not
"main" device/vendor ids from Common CIS.
This patch exports "main" device/vendor ids for SDIO and SD combo cards at

Userspace can use e.g. udev rules to correctly match whole SDIO card based
on Common CIS device/vendor id and not only one particular SDIO function.
Having this information in userspace also helps developers to debug whole

and not from particular SDIO function. Also it allows to write userspace

Trying to change Link Status register does not have any effect as this
is a read-only register. Trying to overwrite bits for Negotiated Link
Width does not make sense.
In future proper change of link width can be done via Lane Count Select
bits in PCIe Control 0 register.
Trying to unconditionally enable ASPM L0s via ASPM Control bits in Link
Control register is wrong. There should be at least some detection if
endpoint supports L0s as isn't mandatory.
Moreover ASPM Control bits in Link Control register are controlled by
pcie/aspm.c code which sets it according to system ASPM settings,
immediately after aardvark driver probes. So setting these bits by
aardvark driver has no long running effect.
Remove code which touches ASPM L0s bits from this driver and let
kernel's ASPM implementation to set ASPM state properly.
Some users are reporting issues that this code is problematic for some
Intel wifi cards and removing it fixes them, see e.g.:
https://bugzilla.kernel.org/show_bug.cgi?id=196339
If problems with Intel wifi cards occur even after this commit, then
pcie/aspm.c code could be modified / hooked to not enable ASPM L0s state
for affected problematic cards.

Adding even 100ms (PCI_PM_D3COLD_WAIT) delay between enabling link
training and starting link training causes detection issues with some
buggy cards (such as Compex WLE900VX).
Move the code which enables link training immediately before the one
which starts link traning.
This fixes detection issues of Compex WLE900VX card on Turris MOX after
cold boot.

The mwifiex_cfg80211_dump_station() uses static variable for iterating

role). This has a race condition if .dump_station is called in parallel
for multiple interfaces. This corruption can be triggered by registering
multiple SSIDs and calling, in parallel for multiple interfaces

This patch drops the use of the static iterator, and instead every time
the function is called iterates to the idx-th position of the
linked-list.
It would be better to convert the code not to use linked list for
associated stations storage (since the chip has a limited number of
associated stations anyway - it could just be an array). Such a change
may be proposed in the future. In the meantime this patch can backported
into stable kernels in this simple form.

Dell platform team told us that some (DMI whitelisted) Dell Latitude
machines have ST microelectronics accelerometer at I2C address 0x29.
Presence of that ST microelectronics accelerometer is verified by existence
of SMO88xx ACPI device which represent that accelerometer. Unfortunately
ACPI device does not specify I2C address.
This patch registers lis3lv02d device for selected Dell Latitude machines
at I2C address 0x29 after detection. And for Dell Vostro V131 machine at
I2C address 0x1d which was manually detected.
Finally commit a7ae81952c ("i2c: i801: Allow ACPI SystemIO OpRegion to
conflict with PCI BAR") allowed to use i2c-i801 driver on Dell machines so
lis3lv02d correctly initialize accelerometer.

Extract initialization of trackstick part when touchpad is in passthrough
mode for v3 and v6 protocols into own function. Initialization for v3 is:
setscale11, setscale11, setscale11, nibble 0x9, nibble 0x4. Initialization
for v6 is: setscale11, setscale11, setscale11, setrate 0xC8, setrate 0x14.
Nibbles 0x9 and 0x4 for v3 protocol correspond to setrate 0xC8 and 0x14,
therefore these sequences are same.
When touchpad is in passthrough mode, then OS communicates with trackstick
and this sequence is some magic vendor PS/2 command to put trackstick into
"extended" mode. After that sequence trackstick starts reporting packets in
some vendor 4 bytes format (first byte is always 0xE8).
Next step after configuring trackstick to be in "extended" mode, is to
configure touchpad for v3 protocol to expect that trackstick reports data
in "extended" mode. For v3 protocol this is done by setting bit 1 in
register 0xC2C8 (offset 0x08 from base address 0xC2C0).
When both touchpad and trackstick are not configured for "extended" mode
then touchpad reports trackstick packets in different format, which is not
supported by psmouse/alps driver (yet).
In Cirque documentation GP-AN- 130823 INTERFACING TO GEN4 OVER I2C (PDF)
available at http://www.cirque.com/gen4-dev-resources is Logical Address
0xC2C8 named as PS2AuxControl and Bit Number 1 as ProcessAuxExtendedData

This patch implements parsing MAC address from NVS data which are sent to
wl1251 chip. Calibration NVS data could contain valid MAC address and it
will be used instead of randomly generated one.
This patch also moves code for requesting NVS data from userspace to driver
initialization code to make sure that NVS data will be there at time when
permanent MAC address is needed.
Calibration NVS data for wl1251 are device specific. Every device with
wl1251 chip should have been calibrated in factory and needs to provide own
calibration data.
Default example file wl1251-nvs.bin, found in linux-firmware repository,
contains MAC address 00:00:20:07:03:09. So this MAC address is marked as
invalid as it is not real device specific address, just example one.
