In commit 41d73ec053, sequence number adjustments were moved to a
separate file. Unfortunately, the sequence numbers that are stored
in the nf_ct_seqadj structure are expressed in host byte order. The
necessary ntohl call was removed when the call to adjust_tcp_sequence
was collapsed into nf_ct_seqadj_set. This broke the FTP NAT helper.
Fix it by adding back the byte order conversions.

In commit 58a317f1 (netfilter: ipv6: add IPv6 NAT support), icmpv6_manip_pkt
was added with an incorrect comparison of ICMP codes to types. This causes
problems when using NAT rules with the --random option. Correct the
comparison.

In commit b396966c4 (netfilter: xt_TCPMSS: Fix missing fragmentation handling),
I attempted to add safe fragment handling to xt_TCPMSS. However, Andy Padavan
of Project N56U correctly points out that returning XT_CONTINUE in this
function does not work. The callers (tcpmss_tg[46]) expect to receive a value
of 0 in order to return XT_CONTINUE.

In commit 90ba9b19 (tcp: tcp_make_synack() can use alloc_skb()), Eric changed
the call to sock_wmalloc in tcp_make_synack to alloc_skb. In doing so,
the netfilter owner match lost its ability to block the SYNACK packet on
outbound listening sockets. Revert the change, restoring the owner match
functionality.

As reported by Casper Gripenberg, in a bridged setup, using ip[6]t_REJECT
with the tcp-reset option sends out reset packets with the src MAC address
of the local bridge interface, instead of the MAC address of the intended
destination. This causes some routers/firewalls to drop the reset packet
as it appears to be spoofed. Fix this by bypassing ip[6]_local_out and
setting the MAC of the sender in the tcp reset packet.

In commit 4cdd3408 ("netfilter: nf_conntrack_ipv6: improve fragmentation
handling"), an sk_buff leak was introduced when dealing with reassembled
packets by grabbing a reference to the original skb instead of the
reassembled skb. At this point, the leak only impacted conntracks with an
associated helper.
In commit 58a317f1 ("netfilter: ipv6: add IPv6 NAT support"), the bug was
expanded to include all reassembled packets with unconfirmed conntracks.
Fix this by grabbing a reference to the proper reassembled skb. This
closes netfilter bugzilla #823.

As a followup to commit 409b545a ("netfilter: xt_TCPMSS: Fix violation
of RFC879 in absence of MSS option"), John Heffner points out that IPv6
has a higher MTU than IPv4, and thus a higher minimum MSS. Update TCPMSS
target to account for this, and update RFC comment.
While at it, point to more recent reference RFC1122 instead of RFC879.

The clamp-mss-to-pmtu option of the xt_TCPMSS target can cause issues
connecting to websites if there was no MSS option present in the
original SYN packet from the client. In these cases, it may add a
MSS higher than the default specified in RFC879. Fix this by never
setting a value > 536 if no MSS option was specified by the client.

When the bonding module is loaded, it creates bond0 by default.
Then, when attempting to create bond0, the following messages
are printed to syslog:
kernel: bonding: bond0 is being created...
kernel: bonding: Bond creation failed.
Which seems to indicate a problem, when in reality there is no
problem. Since the actual error code is passed down from bond_create,
make use of it to print a bit less ominous message:
kernel: bonding: bond0 is being created...
kernel: bond0 already exists.

Bringing up a bond interface with all network cables disconnected
does not properly set the interface as DOWN because the call to
netif_carrier_off occurs too early in bond_init. The call needs
to occur after register_netdevice has set dev->reg_state to
NETREG_REGISTERED, so that netif_carrier_off will trigger the
call to linkwatch_fire_event.

When packets come in from a device with >= 16 receive queues
headed out a bonding interface, syslog gets filled with this:
kernel: bond0 selects TX queue 16, but real number of TX queues is 16
because queue_mapping is offset by 1. Adjust return value
to account for the offset.
This is a revision of my earlier patch (which did not use the
skb_rx_queue_* helpers - thanks to Ben for the suggestion).
Andy submitted a similar patch which emits a pr_warning on
invalid queue selection, but I believe the log spew is
not useful. We can revisit that question in the future,
but in the interim I believe fixing the core problem is
worthwhile.

then the newly added vlan interface should also have no carrier.

Been seeing occasional panics in my testing of 2.6.25-rc in ip_defrag.
Offending line in ip_defrag is here:

where dev is NULL. Bisected the problem down to commit
ac18e7509e ([NETNS][FRAGS]: Make the
inet_frag_queue lookup work in namespaces).

Locally generated broadcast and multicast packets have pkttype set to
PACKET_LOOPBACK instead of PACKET_BROADCAST or PACKET_MULTICAST. This
causes the pkttype match to fail to match packets of either type.
The below patch remedies this by using the daddr as a hint as to
broadcast|multicast. While not pretty, this seems like the only way
to solve the problem short of just noting this as a limitation of the
match.

skb_find_text takes a "to" argument which is supposed to limit how
far into the skb it will search for the given text. At present,
it seems to ignore that argument on the first skb, and instead
return a match even if the text occurs beyond the limit.
Patch below fixes this, after adjusting for the "from" starting
point. This consequently fixes the netfilter string match's "--to"
handling, which currently is broken.

Around jiffies wrap time (i.e. within first 5 mins after boot), recent
match rules which contain both --seconds and --hitcount arguments
experience false matches.
This is because the last_pkts array is filled with zeros on creation, and
when comparing 'now' to 0 (+ --seconds argument), time_before_eq thinks it
has found a hit.
Below patch adds a break if the packet value is zero. This has the
unfortunate side effect of causing mismatches if a packet was received
when jiffies really was equal to zero. The odds of that happening are
slim compared to the problems caused by not adding the break however.
Plus, the author used this same method just below, so it is "good enough".
This fixes netfilter bugs #383 and #395.
