Changes between v0.5.1 and v0.5.2:
https://git.linuxtv.org/libcamera.git/tag/?h=v0.5.2

libcamera commit [1] (included in v0.5.2) introduced a usage of the
clone3() system call, introduced Kernel 5.3 [2].

Therefore, this commit adds the dependency on 5.3 headers.

This commit also changes the toolchain used in the runtime test to
the bootlin one, which includes 5.15 linux headers.

Release notes:
https://lists.libcamera.org/pipermail/libcamera-devel/2025-April/049672.html

There's now a pipeline for the Raspberry Pi 5 ISP (PiSP), that can be
added later on in a separate patch.

v4l2 compatibility layer is now a feature and not a boolean anymore. The
former takes "enabled", "disabled" or "auto"[1] while the latter takes
"true" or "false"[2] so we need to update how we configure the project to
match those expectations.

Quentin Schulz 028bdac7ed package/libcamera: improve reproducibility for optional dependencies
libcamera has some optional dependencies that automatically detected at
build time.

To improve reproducibility, we should add a dependency on those optional
dependencies if the symbols that build them are enabled so that the
order in which packages are built does not influence the libcamera
package.

Note that the optional libyuv dependency isn't added as:
1) it is only used for the virtual pipeline and the android feature,
both of which are disabled/not supported right now,
2) libcamera has it in a submodule if missing (though if that works with
   Buildroot is to be determined),
3) adding the dependency isn't enough as meson somehow doesn't find the
   dependency,

Quentin Schulz ef3c3bc9b1 package/libcamera: improve future reproducibility by forcing auto features to disabled
meson allows to force all features set to "auto" to default to disabled
except if explicitly enabled via the auto_features argument, c.f.
https://mesonbuild.com/Build-options.html#features

"""
If the value of a feature option is set to auto, that value is
overridden by the global auto_features option (which defaults to auto).
This is intended to be used by packagers who want to have full control
on which dependencies are required and which are disabled, and not rely
on build-deps being installed (at the right version) to get a feature
enabled.
"""

The only auto feature that we hadn't disabled explicitly is the
gstreamer plugin. It is however expected that this wasn't a mistake as
the dependencies for the gstreamer pluging wouldn't have been met
thanks to the explicit LIBCAMERA_DEPENDENCIES we have based on the
presence of the gstreamer symbols in the global config.

This should make it less likely for future releases of libcamera to
regress in terms of reproducibility because of "auto" features (though
changes from "auto" to "enabled" wouldn't be caught and would be
susceptible to race conditions with their dependencies in case they
aren't properly specified and built after libcamera is).

Quentin Schulz 1c653dd19f package/libcamera: force-disable qcam for now
Fixes:

http://autobuild.buildroot.net/results/61e4bce00a2aff3f531de6c1896d4dc1f92ba5e3/

qcam is based on Qt6 since commit 71aa3ceec30b ("apps: qcam: Port to Qt
6") which is part of the v0.3.1 release.

qcam being enabled when BR2_PACKAGE_QT5BASE_WIDGETS symbol is defined
breaks the build as it's missing the qt6 dependencies.

The migration to Qt 6 for the Buildroot package isn't straightforward
though as we're hitting a meson bug[1].

For now, let's just always disable qcam until we can get everything
fixed and migrated properly.

libcamera dropped the gcc 8 support in [1] and increased the minimal
version to 9. This commit updates that requirement in the package
Config.in and in reverse dependency (in libcamera-apps).

This commit also updates the libcamera runtime test to the new format
of the "cam --list-properties" output.

Quentin Schulz 030baf89fc package/libcamera: add explicit dependency on libevent if libevent package to be built
The cam application requires libevent. Since there's no Kconfig option
for it, cam building ability is checked by meson build system by default.

If libevent is present in the sysroot, cam is built.

The issue is that there's no explicit dependency on libevent in
libcamera package. This means that it is possible for libevent AND
libcamera to be built, but have libcamera be built before libevent.
Meaning that even if all requirements seem to be fulfilled, cam still
won't be enabled in some cases.

This fixes the possible race by expliciting the dependency to libevent
if the libevent package is enabled. Otherwise, explicitly disable cam
building as it's already known that it isn't going to build.

Quentin Schulz bba4dad9aa package/libcamera: strip symbols before signing IPA libs
Open-Source IPA shlibs need to be signed in order to be runnable within
the same process, otherwise they are deemed Closed-Source and run in
another process and communicate over IPC.

The shlib installed on the target should be the same as the one signed
by libcamera during package creation otherwise the signature won't match
the shlib.

Buildroot sanitizes RPATH in a post build process. meson gets rid of
rpath while installing so we don't need to do it manually.

Buildroot may strip symbols, so we need to do the same before signing.

Signing the IPA shlibs is done by the meson install target, so we need
to strip the IPA shlibs, so after the build but before the install,
which a post-build hooks fits the best.

Yann E. MORIN f835da1c6d package/lbcamera: don't override _CONF_OPTS, but append
Commit 99cc53f3f4 (package/libcamera: add v4l2 compatibility layer
option) incorrectly added the v4l2 option, which makes it so that
the previous options are overrdien.

Fix that by using an append-assignment.

Kieran Bingham fc0e9bef63 package/libcamera: bump to version 448393f77ec9e37cb807e8e8d35c1a4877d253d4
Update to the latest version of libcamera, including a fix for toolchains
which require libatomic to be linked manually.

The patch which handles this locally is therefore removed.

Since the last version update, the option to disable building of the
unit tests has been renamed from '-Dtests=' to '-Dtest='

This is updated accordingly.
