- Bump Linux kernel to 6.18.
- Bump U-Boot to 2025.10. Add the dependency on GNU TLS. Refresh the
config fragment: add smc & poweroff commands, add ESRT and dummy
capsule update, add SMCCC features discovery.
- Bump OP-TEE to 4.8.0. Add the dependency on python-cryptography. Lock
optee-client version to be the same as optee-os. Add a patch to output
logs to the same UART as all the other components and increase log
level. Remove the unnecessary dependency on dtc.
- Bump TF-A to v2.14.0.
- Bump FVP to 11.30_27. Disable terminal 1, now that all the logs go to
a single terminal. Enable virtio network. Rate limit the simulation
by default, for convenience at U-Boot and GRUB countdown, and for more
realistic delays inside the simulation.
- Switch to Bootlin pre-built toolchain.
- Add more modules to GRUB, to have more commands available: efi
commands, plus reboot & halt.
- Add eudev to probe Linux modules during boot, for LCD support.
- Configure eth0 with DHCP automatically during boot.
- Refresh the documentation.
This configuration has been tested on an x86 and on an AArch64 machine.
The firmware and FVP of this configuration have also been tested
successfully with other OSes: Debian Live, openSUSE Tumbleweed, Yocto,
OpenWrt, Buildroot AArch64 EFI and FreeBSD.

- Bump the model in the readme to version 11.29 build 27.

While at it:
- Rework the readme a bit with explicit build instructions, add a link
to the model binaries running on AArch64 host and update the model
command line to specify Arm v8.0 (as we are building for Cortex-A53).
- Turn on hashes verification and update .checkpackageignore
accordingly.
- Add myself as co-developer for this defconfig.

We have no more hash file for TF-A v2.11 in the package directory since
commit 24615d1502 ("boot/arm-trusted-firmware: bump to v2.12"); add
one in our global patches directory.
This fixes the following warning:

- Bump TF-A to v2.11. Remove the stdout patch, which is present
upstream. Remove our hash file now that the arm-trusted-firmware
package centralises those.

ARM_TRUSTED_FIRMWARE_SITE is currently pointing to the deprecated
ARM-software github read-only mirror[0] which is no longer publishing
new tags. They do have a newer github mirror under the TrustedFirmware-A
organization[1] which continues to receive tag updates we could use
however because of the way github generates tarballs changing the SITE
to point to TrustedFormware-A changes the pre-calculated hash values
for every version for everyone.
Without much way around changing all hash values if we want these latest
tags, lets drop the github mirrors and move to the official git
source[2] so we can download real tarballs which shouldn't change even
if the ARM_TRUSTED_FIRMWARE_SITE moves again and hopefully preventing
this from ever happening again.

Add a defconfig to build an AArch64 U-Boot based firmware implementing
the subset of UEFI defined by EBBR[1], as well as a Linux OS disk image
booting with UEFI, to run on the Arm A-Profile Base RevC AEM FVP.
The generated firmware binaries can also be used to run another OS
supporting the EBBR specification.

This patch adds CMA to the juno's default kernel config that is in
board/arm/juno. This is critical if the user decides to config video
resolution to 1920x1080.

Bump to the latest kernel with DT path adjustment because Linux
commit ca5b34100c57 ("dts, arm64: Move dts files to vendor subdirs")
moved the DT file to the vendor sub-directory.
This commit was tested with the latest model (FVP v8 Foundation
Platform 9.5 build 41), so I updated the instruction in readme.txt
corresponding to it.

The arm_foundationv8_defconfig currently doesn't build because it uses
an external AArch64 toolchain that has been updated (Linaro toolchain)
and is now based on gcc 5.x. Unfortunately, Linux 3.13 is too old to
be built with gcc 5.x.
As a minimal fix to make this defconfig build again, we switch to use
the internal toolchain backend. At the time this defconfig was
introduced, there was no support for AArch64 in the internal toolchain
backend, but now that it is available, there is no reason to not use
it. This makes the defconfig also more consistent with the other
defconfigs.
Obviously, the kernel headers used to build the toolchain are set to
the fixed version 3.13, so that they match the kernel being used.
While we're at it, the readme.txt file corresponding to this defconfig
is updated. Runtime testing has been performed with the latest version
of the ARM Foundation model.

This commit updates the defconfig of the foundation-v8 platform, which
can be tested under the AArch64 emulator provided by ARM. The main
change is that we switch to the mainline 3.13.6 kernel instead of a
Linaro-specific Git tree.
Another change is to update the download link for the emulator in the
instructions, in order to use the latest version of the emulator,
which was used for testing.

Note that this configuration doesn't build entirely: the user must
manually run "make busybox-menuconfig" and disable the "Mount NFS
filesystems" option, because the toolchain does not have RPC support.
This issue will be fixed once the support for toolchain without RPC
will be integrated.
