When emulating open-drain/open-source by not actively driving the output
lines - we're simply changing their mode to input. This is wrong as it
will then make it impossible to change the value of such line - it's now
considered to actually be in input mode. If we want to still use the
direction_input() callback for simplicity then we need to set FLAG_IS_OUT
manually in gpiod_direction_output() and not clear it in
gpio_set_open_drain_value_commit() and
gpio_set_open_source_value_commit().

If the driver doesn't support open-drain/source config options, we
emulate this behavior when setting the direction by calling
gpiod_direction_input() if the default value is 0 (open-source) or
1 (open-drain), thus not actively driving the line in those cases.
This however clears the FLAG_IS_OUT bit for the GPIO line descriptor
and makes the LINEINFO ioctl() incorrectly report this line's mode as
'input' to user-space.
This commit modifies the ioctl() to always set the GPIOLINE_FLAG_IS_OUT
bit in the lineinfo structure's flags field. Since it's impossible to
use the input mode and open-drain/source options at the same time, we
can be sure the reported information will be correct.

Currently the clocksource and clockevent support for davinci platforms
lives in mach-davinci. It hard-codes many things, uses global variables,
implements functionalities unused by any platform and has code fragments
scattered across many (often unrelated) files.
Implement a new, modern and simplified timer driver and put it into
drivers/clocksource. We still need to support legacy board files so
export a config structure and a function that allows machine code to
register the timer.
The timer we're using is 64-bit but can be programmed in dual 32-bit
mode (both chained and unchained).
On all davinci SoCs except for da830 we're using both halves. Lower half
for clockevents and upper half for clocksource. On da830 we're using the
lower half for both with the help of a compare register.
This patch contains the core code and support for clockevent. The
clocksource code will be included in a subsequent patch.

Historically the power supply management in this driver has been handled
in two separate places in parallel. Device-tree users simply defined an
appropriate regulator, while two boards with no DT support (da830-evm and
omapl138-hawk) passed functions defined in their respective board files
over platform data. These functions simply used legacy GPIO calls to
watch the oc GPIO for interrupts and disable the vbus GPIO when the irq
fires.
Commit d193abf1c9 ("usb: ohci-da8xx: add vbus and overcurrent gpios")
updated these GPIO calls to the modern API and moved them inside the
driver.
This however is not the optimal solution for the vbus GPIO which should
be modeled as a fixed regulator that can be controlled with a GPIO.
In order to keep the overcurrent protection available once we move the
board files to using fixed regulators we need to disable the enable_reg
regulator when the overcurrent indicator interrupt fires. Since we
cannot call regulator_disable() from interrupt context, we need to
switch to using a oneshot threaded interrupt.

Modify the cp-intc driver to take all its configuration from the new
config structure. Stop referencing davinci_soc_info in any way.
Move the declaration for davinci_cp_intc_init() to
irq-davinci-cp-intc.h and make it take the new config structure as
parameter. Convert all users to the new version.
Also: since the two da8xx SoCs default all irq priorities to 7, just
drop the priority configuration at all and hardcode the channels to 7.
It will simplify the driver code and make our lives easier when it
comes to device-tree support.

is done in most of the kernel code base.

Add the new-style config structures for da8xx SoCs. They will be used
once we make the cp-intc driver stop using davinci_soc_info.

Add a config structure that will be used by cp-intc-based platforms.
It contains the register range resource and the number of interrupts.

We're going to extend the cp_intc_init() function with a config
structure so we can drop the intc-related fields from davinci_soc_info.
Once we do it, we won't be able to use this routine directly as the
init_irq callback. Wrap the calls in additional helpers that don't
take parameters and can be assigned to init_irq.
