Yunseong Kim 419f151de0 media: vim2m: remove unused CLIP macro
The CLIP macro, which was used to clamp color component values to the
[0, 255] range, is no longer used anywhere in the vim2m driver. Remove it
to clean up the code and avoid confusion.

The following issues were reported by checkpatch:
ERROR: Macros with complex values should be enclosed in parentheses

Laurent Pinchart 277966749f media: Reset file->private_data to NULL in v4l2_fh_del()
Multiple drivers that use v4l2_fh and call v4l2_fh_del() manually reset
the file->private_data pointer to NULL in their video device .release()
file operation handler. Move the code to the v4l2_fh_del() function to
avoid direct access to file->private_data in drivers. This requires
adding a file pointer argument to the function.

Changes to drivers have been generated with the following coccinelle
semantic patch:

All the drivers that use v4l2_fh and call v4l2_fh_add() manually store a

Laurent Pinchart 8003313d38 media: Replace file->private_data access with file_to_v4l2_fh()
Accessing file->private_data manually to retrieve the v4l2_fh pointer is
error-prone, as the field is a void * and will happily cast implicitly
to any pointer type.

Replace all remaining locations that read the v4l2_fh pointer directly
from file->private_data with usage of the file_to_v4l2_fh() function.
The change was generated manually.

No functional change is intended, this only paves the way to remove
direct accesses to file->private_data and make V4L2 drivers safer.
Other accesses to the field will be addressed separately.

Matthew Majewski c09acbbfff media: vim2m: Add parametized support for multiplanar API
Add support for the mulitiplaner API. The device can now act as
either a multi-planar or a single-planar device depending on a module
parameter, similar to the way vivid behaves.

Multiplanar support was added by implementing the appropate
try/get/set mplane functions, and by modifying the queue_setup() and
buf_prepare() functions to handle multiple planes. Implementation
was inspired by vivid.

Move the v4l2_info() call displaying the video device name after the
device is actually registered.

This fixes a bug where the driver was always displaying "/dev/video0"
since it was reading from the vfd before it was registered.

Hans Verkuil d01e5a4d86 media: test-drivers: drop vb2_ops_wait_prepare/finish
Since commit 88785982a1 ("media: vb2: use lock if wait_prepare/finish
are NULL") it is no longer needed to set the wait_prepare/finish
vb2_ops callbacks as long as the lock field in vb2_queue is set.

Since the vb2_ops_wait_prepare/finish callbacks already rely on that field,
we can safely drop these callbacks.

This simplifies the code and this is a step towards the goal of deleting
these callbacks.

Uwe Kleine-König b8fc42dc06 media: Switch back to struct platform_driver::remove()
After commit 0edb555a65 ("platform: Make platform_driver::remove()
return void") .remove() is (again) the right callback to implement for
platform drivers.

Convert all platform drivers below drivers/media to use .remove(), with
the eventual goal to drop struct platform_driver::remove_new(). As
.remove() and .remove_new() have the same prototypes, conversion is done
by just changing the structure member name in the driver initializer.

Uwe Kleine-König a4e1d46f63 media: vim2m: Convert to platform remove callback returning void
The .remove() callback for a platform driver returns an int which makes
many driver authors wrongly assume it's possible to do error handling by
returning an error code. However the value returned is (mostly) ignored
and this typically results in resource leaks. To improve here there is a
quest to make the remove callback return void. In the first step of this
quest all drivers are converted to .remove_new() which already returns
void.

Trivially convert this driver from always returning zero in the remove
callback to the void returning variant.
