David Benjamin 33d1049b1f Switch the license to Apache 2.0, matching OpenSSL upstream
We use the standard Apache 2.0 file header, described in "APPENDIX: How
to apply the Apache License to your work."

This was primarily automated by running:

  git ls-tree -r --name-only HEAD | xargs go run ./util/relicense.go

See go/boringssl-relicensing-triage for the results of triaging the
output of the tool.

As part of this, switch from taking fiat-crypto under MIT license to
Apache 2.0. (It is licensed under MIT OR Apache-2.0 OR BSD-1-Clause.)

The copyright_summary tool can also be used to confirm we didn't
accidentally drop any copyright lines:

This was mostly automated, but partially manual. The automated portion
can be reproduced by checking OpenSSL to commit
44c8a5e2b9af8909844cc002c53049311634b314, and running the following:

  git grep -l -E 'Copyright remains Eric Young|Copyright.*The OpenSSL Project\.|Written by.*for the OpenSSL Project' crypto/ decrepit/ include/ ssl/ | grep -v objects.go > files.txt
  cat files.txt | xargs -n1 perl -i ./util/copyright.pl

From there, some years were fixed up manually according to
go/openssl-copyright-consolidation-comparison (internal-only).

Three files required additional manual fixing:

- crypto/ecdh_extra/ecdh_extra.cc
- crypto/fipsmodule/ecdh/ecdh.cc.inc
- include/openssl/ecdh.h

These files have an OpenSSL header, but *after* a different header, so
the script does not correctly detect the now redundant OpenSSL header.
They were manually modified to remove it. This matches what seems to
have been done to crypto/ec/ecdh_ossl.c in OpenSSL's
4f22f40507fea3f272637eb8e00cadf1f34b10d9.

David Benjamin 7fb4d3da50 Implement X25519MLKEM768 for TLS
ML-KEM is now finalized, so uses of Kyber should migrate to ML-KEM. This
adds the new codepoint for TLS, X25519MLKEM768 from
draft-kwiatkowski-tls-ecdhe-mlkem-01.

One detail to call out: where the Kyber hybrid put X25519 first, this
one places MLKEM768 first. Section 3 of the draft discusses why.

David Benjamin 26d84fdf02 Store NID_undef's ASN1_OBJECT outside the table
tasn_*.c have two dependencies on the OID table: initializing
ASN1_OBJECTs to the undef object, and the ADB (ANY DEFINED BY)
machinery. Fix the first by pulling the entry out of the table.  The
latter will be fixed by rewriting the certificate policy parser.

David Benjamin 8a062a7112 Don't include NID_undef in short/long name tables
NID_undef actually has names, but OBJ_sn2nid and OBJ_ln2nid's calling
convention cannot distinguish finding NID_undef from finding nothing.
Thus we may as well save 4 bytes by omitting this.

David Benjamin 1b724a6b8c Align Kyber names with draft-tls-westerbaan-xyber768d00
The initial codepoint is called X25519Kyber786Draft00 in the draft, so
align with that name for this version. Also remove the placeholder bits
for the other combinations, which haven't gotten that far yet.

Update-Note: Update references to NID_X25519Kyber768 to
NID_X25519Kyber768Draft00. For now, the old name is available as an
alias.

HRSS itself remains in libcrypto because there are some direct users of

Adam Langley fc077381d3 Add stubs for hybrid Kyber768 with X25519 or P-256.
There is no Kyber implementation in BoringSSL so these stubs assume that

David Benjamin 44872e1c74 Add EVP_PKEY_HKDF for OpenSSL compatibility.
OpenSSL 1.1.1 added HKDF support, but by sticking it into
EVP_PKEY_derive, the API meant for Diffie-Hellman-like primitives.
Implement it for OpenSSL compatibility.

This does unfortunately mean anything using EVP now pulls in HKDF. HKDF
isn't much code, but we should make EVP more static-linker-friendly.

David Benjamin 1cc95ac07c Define EVP compatibility constants for X448 and Ed448.
We do not support these, but Node expects the constants to be there, so
define them. Also fill in X25519's OID. Now that we can wrap it in
EVP_PKEY, we should have the OID there. (Our serializers don't use the
giant OID table, which is why it didn't matter.)

Shelley Vohr 3ab3b1283f Add compatibility functions for sigalgs
Node.js recently added an option to override signature algorithms in https://github.com/nodejs/node/pull/29598
which make use of several NIDs and SSL_get_shared_sigalgs. This CL adds
NIDs for Ed448 (but does not implement it) and a shim function for
SSL_get_shared_sigalgs that simply returns 0. This enables Electron to
reduce its patch surface.

Adam Langley 7f02881e96 Drop CECPQ2b code.
The experiment which motivated CECPQ2b has concluded (although the
results haven't been published yet) and the SIKE code is causing some
issues for gRPC in gprc/grpc#20100. Also, this is code size that takes
up space in Android etc.

Kris Kwiatkowski 78c88c999e Integrate SIKE with TLS key exchange.
Implements support for hybrid key exchange based on SIKEp503, a post
quantum, isogeny based KEM. This is a hybrid construction mixed with
X25519 key agreement. Code point is 0xFE32. Cloudflare's SIDH
implementation is used for testing. Key exchange can be used with TLS1.3
only.

Adam Langley 7b935937b1 Add initial HRSS support.
This change includes support for a variant of [HRSS], a post-quantum KEM
based on NTRU. It includes changes suggested in [SXY]. This is not yet
ready for any deployment: some breaking changes, like removing the
confirmation hash, are still planned.

David Benjamin 19670949ca Align EVP_PKEY Ed25519 API with upstream.
Rather than adding a new mode to EVP_PKEY_CTX, upstream chose to tie
single-shot signing to EVP_MD_CTX, adding functions which combine
EVP_Digest*Update and EVP_Digest*Final. This adds a weird vestigial
EVP_MD_CTX and makes the signing digest parameter non-uniform, slightly
complicating things. But it means APIs like X509_sign_ctx can work
without modification.

Align with upstream's APIs. This required a bit of fiddling around
evp_test.cc. For consistency and to avoid baking details of parameter
input order, I made it eagerly read all inputs before calling
SetupContext. Otherwise which attributes are present depend a lot on the
shape of the API we use---notably the NO_DEFAULT_DIGEST tests for RSA
switch to failing before consuming an input, which is odd.

(This only matters because we have some tests which expect the operation
to abort the operation early with parameter errors and match against
Error. Those probably should not use FileTest to begin with, but I'll
tease that apart a later time.)

Upstream also named NID_Ed25519 as NID_ED25519, even though the
algorithm is normally stylized as "Ed25519". Switch it to match.

David Benjamin 05bb1c5033 Implement draft-ietf-curdle-pkix-04's serialization.
The resulting EVP_PKEYs do not do anything useful yet, but we are able
to parse them. Teaching them to sign will be done in a follow-up.

Creating these from in-memory keys is also slightly different from other
types. We don't have or need a public ED25519_KEY struct in
curve25519.h, so I've added tighter constructor functions which should
hopefully be easier to use anyway.

David Benjamin 6cc903880d Reimplement objects.pl in Go.
The perl script is a little nuts. obj_dat.pl actually parses the header
file that objects.pl emits to figure out what all the objects are.
Replace it all with a single Go script.

David Benjamin dc9194f78b Fix a bug in obj_dat.pl and add basic crypto/obj tests.
It's not possible to encode an OID with only one component, so some of
the NIDs do not have encodings. The logic to actually encode OIDs checks
for this (before calling der_it), but not the logic to compute the
sorted OID list.

Without this, OBJ_obj2nid, when given an empty OID, returns something
arbitrary based on the binary search implementation instead of
NID_undef.

David Benjamin 5d38f78e29 Rename obj_mac.h to nid.h and make it a multiply-includable header.
obj_mac.h is missing #include guards, so one cannot use NIDs without
pulling in the OBJ_* functions which depend on the giant OID table. Give
it #include guards, tidy up the style slightly, and also rename it to
nid.h which is a much more reasonable name.

obj_mac.h is kept as a forwarding header as, despite it being a little
screwy, some code #includes it anyway.

I went with NID_x25519 to match NID_sha1 and friends in being lowercase.
However, upstream seems to have since chosen NID_X25519. Match their
name.

The files should round-trip now. This corrects some discrepancies between
obj_mac.h and obj_mac.num which were also present in upstream. There seems to
be a mismerge in upstream's eebd5e5dd7dff58297ea52e1c21df8fccd593965.

(The discrepancy is harmless; those OIDs are not in obj_xref.txt.)

Adam Langley 4c921e1bbc Move public headers to include/openssl/
Previously, public headers lived next to the respective code and there
were symlinks from include/openssl to them.

This doesn't work on Windows.

This change moves the headers to live in include/openssl. In cases where
some symlinks pointed to the same header, I've added a file that just
includes the intended target. These cases are all for backwards-compat.
